Scholarships

Sponsorship covers a child's fees, uniform, school supplies, breakfast and lunch, project materials, school outings and daily transportation. We currently support 111 children through the scholarship program, most of them fully covered by a sponsor.

Community worship & faith

A weekly gathering point for the families we serve — worship, encouragement and community life at the heart of our work. We also give out rice after church, and no one is required to be a Christian to receive it. Nong Palai housing project

Built with a 2019 grant to purchase land and build housing for the poor, our Nong Palai estate is a safe refuge for both long-term residents and people needing short-term emergency accommodation. We currently have 47 children and adults living there across 8 rooms, each fully equipped with bathrooms, showers and a small kitchen area. Over 90% of residents, both children and adults, have been rescued from domestic violence or trafficking — and over the years, approximately 150 people have called it home.

Economic & Community Development

Building toward self-sufficiency

Micro Enterprise
Colourful flowers handmade from recycled plastic by Hand to Hand micro enterprise participants

Small business support

Our micro enterprise projects create work opportunities for people with little or no education, some of whom are illiterate or lack documentation such as birth certificates and ID cards — issues that make it hard to find steady work and leave them vulnerable to exploitation. Projects include raising chickens, growing fruit and vegetables, building furniture, sewing, and even crafting colourful flowers from recycled plastic to sell — with a focus on practical skills that don't require a high level of literacy or numeracy. Participants who have survived hardship and abuse also find healing and hope here, as they build new skills and begin to support themselves and contribute to their community.
