Our Story

Margaret Grainger, founder of Hand to Hand Foundation
Margaret Grainger Founder, Hand to Hand Foundation

Hand to Hand Foundation was founded in Pattaya in 2009 by Margaret Grainger, with a heart to support children, families and individuals facing difficult circumstances.

Rooted in Christian faith, Hand to Hand believes that every person deserves dignity, compassion and respect, regardless of their race, age, background or religion. From the beginning, our aim has been to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through both prayer and practical action.

“The cycle of poverty is vicious and can only be broken by education and skills training within a family setting, wherever possible.”

At the heart of our work is a commitment to strengthening and reuniting families wherever possible, helping them overcome challenges and create safe, stable environments where children can grow and thrive.

What began with providing food, clothing, education and help with legal documentation has grown to include early childhood education, scholarships, family support, community outreach and practical projects across Pattaya and other areas of Thailand.

Scholarships

Our scholarships help children and young people continue their education when financial circumstances would otherwise stand in the way — keeping them in school beyond pre-school and into secondary and vocational training.
