Housing Project
In 2019 The Hand to Hand Foundation was given a grant of $250 000 USD to purchase land and build houses for the poor. The housing estate is a safe refuge for both long term residents and people needing short term emergency accommodation. There are currently 37 people living in 8 rooms which are fully equipped with bathrooms, showers and a small kitchen area. Over 90% of the residents, both children and adults have been rescued from domestic violence or domestic trafficking. The housing community is a safe place not only to live, but to heal and have hope for a better future. Over the years approximately 150 people have resided here.
