Adult school

The Hand to Hand adult school currently has 14 students aged 14 years old to 56 years old. The courses are an opportunity for youth and older adults who have never had a chance to attend school or have failed in the regular education system. The school is in partnership with the Thai education ministry and the government all of the students sit official exams. This enables the students to graduate with high school certificates, which allow them to continue further studies if they wish. The government provides the teacher free of charge and the foundation provides the classroom and all the supplies. Classes are held every Thursday morning in Thai and after lunch the students have a 1 hour English lesson taught by volunteers. In the afternoon the students can choose to learn skills such as agriculture, cooking and furniture making. The school operates one day a week as all of the students need to work in order to provide for themselves and their families. The school has only been operating for three years and we hope that our first graduates will be completing their course in 2026.
