What We Do
Hand to Hand’s pre-school is open every Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and we currently have 46 children enrolled from the local slums.
We currently have 88 children in our scholarship program, all of whom are fully supported by sponsors. Despite this there are many more awaiting help.
On Saturday afternoons from 2:00-5:00 pm approximately 50 children aged 5-15 years old attend the Hand to Hand activities program.
Hand to Hand shares the love of Jesus and the gospel message in two different slum communities on a weekly basis with our Community of Faith Churches.
We are teaching students, parents and teachers about the dangers of giving out personal information on the internet as well as raising awareness of how pedophiles find and exploit children.
The Hand to Hand foundation works very closely with the officers from social welfare, police, mayor and other government departments to help support the poor and at risk in the community.
We visit Banglamung and Soi 9 prisons three times per week, giving food and water to all the inmates on each visit. Each month we feed over 1500 inmates. Many of these are illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries.
Every week we visit the hospital to pray for the children and their families and offer emotional and physical support through providing essentials such as diapers, blankets and some fun colouring books, crayons and toys.
Every Friday we reach out to the most needy people that live in the slums. We currently visit 66 families who live in 9 different slums. We provide food packages, clothing and medicine when required.
